Tottenham Hotspur want to appoint Antonio Conte as their new manager, according to Sky Sports. It has been reported that Tottenham are in talks with the former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss over becoming their new manager.
Spurs have been without a permanent manager since April when Jose Mourinho was sacked as the club’s head coach. The former Manchester United and Chelsea boss was dismissed just days before the Carabao Cup final. Ryan Mason took charge of Spurs following the sacking of Mourinho until the end of the season.
Conte guided Inter to the Serie A title this season, but the Italian tactician then decided to step down from the role due to disagreements over keeping the team strong for future Scudetti. Inter have financial problems and will have to sell some of their best players. Conte is a serial winner who won the title in Italy with Juventus and the Premier League title with Chelsea.
