Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Ben Godfrey from Everton in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph. It has been reported that England international central defender Godfrey is one of three Everton players Tottenham are closely following in case the Toffees get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Everton have recovered their form now, but Frank Lampard’s side are still very much in danger of going down from the Premier League. The Toffees are 16th in the table at the moment with 35 points from 34 matches, a point clear of third-from-bottom Leeds United, who have played 35 games.
Godfrey has made 23 appearances in the Premier League, one in the Carabao Cup and three in the FA Cup for Everton this season. The 24-year-old made 29 starts and two substitute appearances in the league for the Toffees last season, providing two assists in the process.
