Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for Fulham central defender Joachim Andersen, but Arsenal are interested in him, according to The Telegraph. It has been reported that Lyon are expected to sell the defender for £20 million, and that Spurs are the frontrunners.
Andersen joined Fulham on loan from Lyon on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2020. According to WhoScored, the Denmark international has scored one goal and provided one assist in 29 Premier League appearances for the Cottagers this season. Fulham have already been relegated to the Championship, and the 24-year-old Denmark international will go back to his parent club Lyon when the season ends.
Arsenal want to sign Andersen as a potential replacement David Luiz. The Brazilian defender is out of contract at the Gunners at the end of the season and could leave the North London club this summer.
