Tottenham Hotspur are about to make a bid for Leicester City playmaker James Maddison, according to 90min. The report has claimed that new Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou is keen on the club to bring Maddison to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and that the North London club are set to make an offer of £40 million plus add-ons.
Leicester, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League, are wiling to sell Maddison. The former Premier League champions were initially looking for £60 million in transfer fees for the 26-year-old, but they have now decided to lower their asking price.
Maddison is one of the most creative players around and could be able to make a big impact at Tottenham. The Leicester no. 10 made 28 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League last season the 26-year-old English playmaker scored 10 goals and gave nine assist in those games.
