Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan in the summer of 2021, according to Football Insider. It has been reported that Spurs are planning to secure the services of a new central defender. Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho wants the 26-year-old in his next for next season and beyond.
Spurs wanted to sign Skriniar from Inter in the January transfer window and a deal for £25 million was close to being struck, according to the report. However, Italian and European giants Inter decided to pull the plug, and the Slovakia international stayed with Antonio Conte’s side.
According to WhoScored, Skriniar has made 23 starts and one substitute appearance in Serie A for Inter so far this season, scoring three goals in the process. The 26-year-old also made three appearances in the Champions League for the Nerazzurri this campaign, according to WhoScored.
