Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing former Celtic winger Jota from Al Ittihad, according to 90min. Jota joined Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad from Scottish Premiership side Celtic in the summer transfer window for £25 million. However, former Tottenham head coach Nuno has not included the winger in his squad and has not registered him.
The report has claimed that talks are going on between Al Ittihad and Jota over releasing him from his contract so that he could become a free agent and potentially move to a club in Europe. If that happened, then Tottenham could try to bring the Portuguese winger to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from seven matches, a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City. Meanwhile, Al Ittihad currently find themselves second in the Saudi Professional League table with 19 points from eight matches, a point behind leaders Al Hilal.
