Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Jurrien Timber from Ajax

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Jurrien Timber from Ajax in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Timber has told his representatives to find him a new club at the end of the season, and that Premier League outfit Tottenham are keen on snapping him up.

So far this season, Timber has scored one goal and given two assists in 24 Eredivisie matches for Ajax. The 21-year-old Dutch central defender has also played twice in the UEFA Europa League, six times in the UEFA Champions League, once in the Dutch Super Cup and twice in the KNVB Cup so far this campaign.

Tottenham are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 45 points from 26 matches, three points ahead of Liverpool, who are currently fifth in the standings and have played 25 games. Meanwhile, Ajax currently find themselves second in the Eredivisie standings with 52 points from 24 matches, three points behind leaders Feyenoord.
