Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Matheus Cunha from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that Wolves do not want to sell Cunha and are eager to open talks over a new contract with the forward, but Tottenham are also eager to engage in talks with his agent.
Cunha, also linked with Arsenal, is one of the better forwards in the Premier League. The 25-year-old, who can also operate as a second striker or as a winger, has played 11 times for Brazil. The Wolves star has scored 21 goals and provided 10 assists in 63 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Tottenham are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with 20 points from 14 matches, six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City. As for Wolves, they currently find themselves second from bottom in the Premier League table with nine points from 14 games.
