Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst in the summer transfer window, according to The Express. Tottenham wanted the Netherlands international striker and remain keen on him. Harry Kane is the first-choice striker at Spurs, but he has reportedly told the club that he wants to leave this summer.
Weghorst is happy to stay at Wolfsburg and is not actively looking to leave. Wolfsburg, though, are open to selling the 28-year-old if they get a good offer. Spurs could lose Kane, and the North London club could make a move later in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old striker scored 20 goals and gave eight assists in the Bundesliga last season. In 2019-20, the Dutchman scored 16 goals and provided three assists in the league. In 2018-19, Weghorst found the back of the net 17 times and gave seven assists.
