Tottenham are planning an ambitious bid to sign Barcelona midfielder Alex Song, Daily Mirror has revealed.
Spurs are believed to be on the market for a new holding midfielder and they are reportedly looking at the former Arsenal star.
The Cameroon international has seen little playing time at Camp Nou since joining the club in a €19 million move last summer.
Having mostly featured in low-profile games this term, Song could be on the way out of the club in the summer and Tottenham are looking to pounce.
It will be difficult to persuade the 25-year-old to sign for Arsenal’s arch rivals, but Spurs are, nonetheless, willing to try.
Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the likes of Alvaro Pereira, Fabio Coentrao and Luke Shaw as Benoit Assou-Ekotto nears summer exit.
AC Milan and Monaco are battling for the full-back, who seems to have lost his place in the side at White Hart Lane.
