According to a recent report from El Desmarque, Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to fill a void left by the expected departure of Christian Eriksen by attempting to sign Isco from Real Madrid. Eriksen has been heavily linked with a move away from North London, potentially even to Real themselves, which could swing the door wide open for some form of swap deal between the two. Eriksen expressed his desire to leave the club and try something new during the summer transfer window, but it never quite came to fruition.
Isco, on the other hand, was seemingly promised more game time at the Bernabeu – but that wish wasn’t granted.
The two clubs have done plenty of business with one another in the past, and it certainly seems as if they’re open to the idea of working together again – if the price is right.
Either way, neither player involved seems particularly happy right now.
