Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up summer bid for Benfica starlet Bryan Cristante, according to The Telegraph.
Spurs are in the market for midfield reinforcements and the Italy international has now emerged as their top target.
Groomed at AC Milan, Cristante was surprisingly sold to Benfica and later joined Atalanta on loan having failed to impress at Estadio da Luz.
That proved to be a very good move for both him and the Orobici, as the player went on to enjoy a memorable campaign that will allow Atalanta to secure a hefty profit once they trigger a €4 million buy-out clause.
After Cristante impressed to score 11 goals on all fronts this term, a number of Italy’s top clubs have been casting admiring glances his way, but Spurs seem like serious contenders for the midfielder’s signature as well.
