Tottenham are the latest club to have joined the race for Southampton starlet Luke Shaw, according to Metro.
Chelsea and Arsenal have been keeping close tabs on the 17-year-old defender, but Spurs are looking to spoil the party and lure the youngster to White Hart Lane.
Tottenham hope the amazing improvement Gareth Bale has shown since leaving Saints for Spurs will be enough to convince the talented full-back that his future lies in North London.
Despite selling the likes of Bale, Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain in the past few years, Southampton are no longer interested in cashing in on their most talented players, and it would take a substantial offer for them to even consider selling Shaw.
Luke Shaw has largely impressed in his first ever senior season, making no less than 20 Premier League appearances.
He has shown a great maturity for his age and never looked out of place in Southampton defence.
