Tottenham Hotspur are the latest club to have joined the chase for Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez, reports Metro.
The Germany international has been linked with a summer exit for a while now, with his agent recently confirming the striker would be leaving Alianz Arena.
Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen are both believed to be keen on the experienced forward, but Tottenham are ready to enter the race as well.
Spurs have so far failed to lure their number one target Leandro Damiao to White Hart Lane and they are set to turn their attention to Gomez.
According to Metro, they are preparing a £7 million bid for the player’s services and a long-term contract for the striker worth £70,000 per week.
Mario Gomez, 27, has lost his place in the starting line-up this season, but he remains one of the most prolific scorers in world football, having registered 75 goals in 115 Bundesliga matches for Bayern.
