Brazilian goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes admits he is likely to leave Tottenham in search of first team football.
The Brazilian international has lost his place in the starting line-up with the arrival of Brad Friedel and now wants to leave White Hart Lane.
“It is very hard to keep driving yourself on when you are not in the team. I have never been in a situation like this before,” Gomes was quoted as saying in The People.
“I think they signed Friedel to be No.2 because the people around the club said that was the case. So I was relaxed about the situation.
“I need to think about a new club because I want to play for Brazil again. To do that I need regular games and at Tottenham that is not possible.
“I would like to stay in the Premier League. My kids and wife love it here in England and I think I can earn other teams points in the same way I have for Tottenham.”
