Tottenham lead race for Thomas Ince

A report in the Daily Mirror has suggested that Tottenham are readying bid for Blackpool starlet Thomas Ince.

The England Under-21 international is widely tipped to join a top Premier League club in the summer, having also been close to leaving the Tangerines in January.

Liverpool were believed to be leading the chase for the highly rated winger, but Tottenham look to hijack their move for the talented footballer.

According to Daily Mirror, Spurs are set to offer £6.5 million for Ince as they hope to wrap up the deal before their Premiership rivals can react.

The 21-year-old is seen as a great long-term replacement for Aaron Lennon, while the fact he can play on either wing is an added bonus.

Thomas Ince, son of England legend Paul Ince, came through the youth ranks at Liverpool, but it was at Blackpool that he made a name for himself, bagging 25 goals in 79 Championship matches.
