Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Yannick Carrasco from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2023, according to Marca. The Spanish publication has reported that Premier League club Tottenham have a good relationship with La Liga outfit Atletico, having loaned out right-back Matt Doherty to the Spanish club in the January transfer, and they want to use that to get a deal done for Carrasco.
Carrasco, who can operate as a winger or as a wing-back, has made 10 starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for Atletico so far this season, scoring one goal in the process. The Belgium international has also made three starts and three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Spanish club so far this campaign, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 21 matches, three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have played 20 games. Meanwhile, Atletico currently find themselves fourth in the La Liga table with 34 points from 19 matches, as many as 16 points behind leaders Barcelona.
