According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the progress of Nathan Ake ahead of a potential approach for the Bournemouth defender. The 23 year old Dutchman has been turning heads ever since joining the Cherries from the Blues last year, and with Spurs wanting to bring in more defensive reinforcements, it seems like the perfect move.
Bournemouth have had a great start to their Premier League campaign but there’s still a long way to go before they can be considered legitimate contenders for the top six or seven, and Ake is a big part of ensuring that dream becomes a reality.
Spurs are desperate to bring in some fresh faces after such a poor summer transfer window, but it isn’t going to be that easy. They seem reluctant to spend the necessary funds to improve the team from head to toe, even though Ake probably wouldn’t set them back all that much financially.
