Tottenham have offered £25 million for Newcastle striker Andy Carroll, according to The Sun.
Spurs chief Daniel Levy presented the offer directly to Newcastle owner Mike Ashley yesterday.
Spurs have offered £22 million plus another £3 million of performance related bonuses, hoping that would be enough to persuade Newcastle to part from their most prized asset.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew recently said that Carroll was not for sale, but Spurs are not willing to back down and they are hoping to clinch the deal very soon.
Harry Redknapp plans to raise some funds for the transfer by selling Roman Pavlyuchenko and Robbie Keane.
