Tottenham open to selling Emerson Royal

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte is open to selling Emerson Royal, according to The Times. The report has claimed that Conte wants a right  wing-back who is more comfortable going forward than Emerson.

Emerson joined Tottenham from Barcelona in the summer of 2021 for £22 million. The 23-year-old made 26 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham last season. The Tottenham no. 13 scored one goal and gave one assist in those games. Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in signing the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham ended the 2021-22 Premier League season in fourth place with 71 points from 38 matches and will play in the UEFA Champions League in 2022-23.
