Tottenham postpone Conte talks

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Tottenham have postponed talks over the future of manager Antonio Conte.

The belief is that they will delay the discussions until January, in the wake of failed talks regarding a possible extension to his current deal. The Italian has been heavily linked with a return to Juventus but given the success he’s starting to enjoy with Spurs, it’d feel like a snide move for him to head straight back to Italy – especially at this time.

The 53-year-old is eccentric, he’s over the top, and he may just be one of the best managers the beautiful game has seen in recent memory.

Tottenham can’t really afford to lose him and if Conte does wind up staying, we think there’s a good chance the club could end this season with a brand new piece of silverware – which sounds over the top, but feels entirely justified.
