Unusual news are coming from Tottenham Hotspur once again. After their interesting 2018-19 season in which they did not sign a single player, as if they were banned by FIFA to do so, they managed to reach the Champions League final. This summer, the club returned to signing players, but now they are doing it during the season as well.
It was somewhat surprising that Tottenham have signed a player midway through the campaign, but on the other hand it made some sense. The club announced that they re-signed Michel Vorm, just three and a half months after the player had left the club at the end of June.
The Dutch goalkeeper had seen his contract run down and Spurs did not want to sign an extension. Paulo Gazzaniga was the backup goalkeeper, but due to Hugo Lloris elbow injury, Spurs wanted to have two good goalkeepers in the team until the Frenchman recuperates.
