Tottenham have agreed to sign Ivorian striker Souleymane Coulibaly, the club have announced on their official website.
The 16-year-old striker largely impressed at the Under-17 World Cup in Mexico, scoring no less than nine goals in four games.
Real Madrid immediately expressed interest in the youngster, but Tottenham wasted no time and managed to secure the player’s signature.
The impressive showings at the Under-17 World Cup have earned him comparisons with Didier Drogba and there are reports that the youngster will go straight into Harry Redknapp’s first team squad.
Coulibaly spent last season playing for Siena youth sides, but he is yet to make a first team debut.
