Tottenham still want Barella

According to a recent report from Calcimercato, Tottenham Hotspur may go after Nicolo Barella once again during the summer transfer window.

Spurs have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan star in the past but the idea has seemingly been pushed back against by the club themselves. This time around it isn’t expected to be particularly different, Inter planning on meeting Tottenham with firm resistance over this idea.

Jose Mourinho has already made a number of big moves since becoming manager in North London, but many do wonder whether he’ll even be around to see a deal like this through.

Barella, at the age of 24, is considered to be one of the most intriguing rising stars in world football today – and Spurs want to be part of his continued progression.

There’s bound to be some competition for his signature if it comes down to it but either way, we can understand the fascination.
