Tottenham still want Fernandes

According to a recent report from A Bola, Tottenham Hotspur will once again attempt to complete the signing of Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes during the January transfer window. The midfielder had previously been heavily linked with a switch to Spurs during the summer transfer window, but nothing quite came to fruition. He was also being connected to a potential move over to Manchester United, but again, that didn’t quite manifest.

Spurs are in desperate need of a few new faces following a diabolical start to the new campaign and while they already have a whole host of stars to rely on, they could still use a little bit more strength in depth.

One way or another, though, it seems like just a matter of time until he leaves Sporting, which would seem to be the smartest possible move for the youngster’s career as he looks ahead to what the future could hold.
