According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham Hotspur may have to rely on the sale of Christian Eriksen in order to try and complete the signing of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis. The midfielder has been on the radar of Mauricio Pochettino for quite some time now, but it doesn’t seem as if they’ll be able to afford him – unless Real Madrid, or some other buyer, decides to take on Eriksen.
The Dane has been heavily linked with a move away from North London for quite some time now, but the deal never seems to have quite come to fruition. He confirmed after the Champions League final loss to Liverpool that he’d be looking for a new adventure elsewhere, but as of yet, he has yet to sign on the dotted line for another club.
Now, it seems like Spurs’ immediate future in the summer transfer window could depend on Eriksen’s status.
