Radio Marca claims that Tottenham Hotspur are hot on the trail of Atletico Madrid hotshot Saul Niguez.
The 21-year-old exploded onto the biggest stage last season and this term he went on nail down a regular starting berth at Vicente Calderon.
His latest performances have been of such high standard that a number of high-profile clubs have started casting admiring glances his way.
According to Radio Marca, Arsenal and Manchester United are among the clubs showing interest in the highly rated footballer, but it was Tottenham that have been the most concrete.
Namely, Spurs have contacted Saul’s agents to inform them that they were ready to offer their client a contract worth €6 million per season.
Nevertheless, Tottenham also need to reach an agreement with Atletico, who have no intention to lower the €45 million asking price, which is the amount of the release clause in the midfielder’s contract.
