Tottenham target keen on Premier League move
CSKA striker Seydou Doumbia has revealed his desire to play in the English Premier League.
The Ivorian forward scored two goals to help CSKA avoid defeat in their Champions League clash with Lille.
The 23-year-old has been in lethal form for CSKA after arriving in €10 million deal from Young Boys and he is reportedly a target for a number of Premiership sides.
Tottenham, Liverpool and Fulham are all keen and they could reignite their interest in January.
Doumbia now says that he dreams of playing in English Premier League.
“It’s always been a dream for me to play in the Premier League,” Doumbia told RMC.
“And, the dream continues. I hope it will. We’ll see next year.”
The Ivory Coast international has also been linked with a move to France.
“Why not France? It interests me a lot. When I finished as top scorer in Switzerland with Young Boys last season, CSKA Moscow were the only team to offer something concrete.
”Saint Etienne and Rennes were interested at the time, but I went to Russia.”
Bayern readying bid for Florent Malouda
Bayern Munich are weighing up move for Chelsea winger Florent Malouda, according to The Sun.
The German giants are looking to add more quality to the wings and have been linked with a January move for Florent Malouda.
The Bavarians have been tracking the French midfielder for a while and believe now is the right time to make a formal offer.
The 31-year-old has lost a starting place at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Juan Manuel Mata and he could be interested in a move to Bayern.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is prepared to let the Frenchman leave, considering that he doesn’t have too many options in the centre of the park.
Malouda would probably be available at a cut-back price seeing that his contract expires in June 2013.
Wenger hints at permanent deal for Benayoun
Arsene Wenger has hinted that Arsenal could make Yossi Benayoun’s loan deal from Chelsea permanent.
The 31-year-old winger arrived to the Emirates on transfer deadline day on loan from Chelsea and he is starting to prove his worth to the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger now admits that he will sign the player on permanent deal if everything works out.
“It’s too early to say at the moment, but I don’t rule it out,” Wenger said at a pre-match news conference earlier today.
“I want him to contribute as much as he can to the rest of the squad like every other player – not more, not less.
“Benayoun gives his best every time he plays and we think he can integrate well. He can play on both flanks. He can play in the middle, although I think he prefers to play on the wing.
“Overall he has shown on Tuesday night that he is completely physically fit again.”
