Tottenham target set for Napoli

(GSM) – Palermo striker Edinson Cavani is set to sign for Napoli according to reports from Italy. The forward was wanted by many clubs after his impressive performances in Serie A last season and with Uruguay at the World Cup.

He was tipped to sign for Tottenham Hotspur after the Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claimed he accepted a £28.4 million for the duo of Cavani and defender Simon Kjaer.

However, Cavani seems destined to sign for Napoli now according to the news emanating from Italy.

Cavani played for local club Danubio before joining Palermo in 2007.
