Former Tottenham winger Gareth Bale could be set for a return to North London as his current club Real Madrid grow frustrated by his injury issues, according to the Guardian.
Spanish giants Real Madrid have previously rejected approaches by both Chelsea and Manchester United to take the Welsh winger back to the Premier League. However with Bale having missed a third of Los Blancos’ games through injury since his move to the Spanish capital the Real Madrid hierarchy are growing restless.
Despite his injury issues Bale has still managed to bag 70 goals for Real in 159 appearances across all competitions and the Welshman has won three Champions Leagues and a La Liga title during his time in Spain. However with the Madrid club possessing such a talented squad Bale is becoming less and less vital and a return to Tottenham could well be on the cards.
It was in North London that Bale showed the form that earned him a move to Spain in the first place and it would be a romantic return indeed if the winger could provide the final bit of quality that Spurs need to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles.
