Tottenham head into a potentially crucial stage of the season without two of their most influential players.

Harry Kane limped off at the end of the last weekend’s defeat to Manchester United and will be out of action until March while Son Heung-Min is also unavailable this month due to the Asian Cup responsibilities with South Korea.

In an attempt to find an instant replacement that could cover for their two first-team stars, Tottenham are said to have turned to Barcelona out-of-favour winger Malcom.

The Spurs were keen on the Brazilian even before he joined Barcelona from Bordeaux last summer and with the 21-year-old failing to gain footing at Camp Nou, Tottenham are willing to offer him an escape route.

Malcom is said to be open to the idea of leaving in January in an attempt to get his career back on track and Tottenham approaching Barcelona with a loan offer might be just what all sides involved would benefit best from at this point.
