Tottenham want Asensio

According to Marca, Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio has been drawing interest from the Premier League in the form of Tottenham Hotspur. Mauricio Pochettino is said to be very interested in signing the 22 year old with some reports suggesting an approach has formally occurred, with Asensio being said to have turned it down.

Still, being persistent seems to be one of Spurs’ biggest and best traits when it comes to securing players, so there’s a good chance this saga isn’t over by a long shot just yet.

Spurs were heavily criticised for failing to bring anyone in during the summer transfer window and it seems like Pochettino isn’t all too interested in discussing his plans for January either, but it’s still going to be an interesting month to be a Tottenham fan.
