According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham Hotspur are set to push back against Manchester City and Arsenal in the race to sign Dani Alves. The Brazilian sensation is said to be available on a free transfer, now that he has officially left Paris Saint-Germain. Alves is riding a wave of momentum in the wake of Brazil’s Copa America win on home soil, with many clubs and pundits alike starting to realise that he still has a lot left in the tank at the highest level.
For a long time now Dani has been viewed as one of the best defenders in world football, and even in the latter stages of his career, it doesn’t seem as if that view point is going to subside.
For Tottenham, securing the signing of such a high profile name could give them a much needed boost ahead of the brand new campaign.
