The belief is that the club’s primary scout was sent to keep an eye on him during a recent Copa Libertadores game, with the 23 year old making a solid impression in that game.
Spurs are hoping to bring in a series of new faces within the next few transfer windows as they attempt to regain some of the momentum they have lost during the start of the new campaign. While they have a strong squad on paper, they haven’t really been able to make things click like they did last season, which was a spell that led to them reaching the Champions League final against all of the odds.
