Tottenham want Maxi Gomez

According to a recent report from AS, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in going after Maxi Gomez of Celta Vigo. The 22 year old forward is considered to be a potential ‘second in command’ for Harry Kane, which is being seen as more and more of a priority due to his many injury concerns. Celta are currently struggling down towards the bottom of La Liga, but even with that being the case, his buyout clause is still going to be £26 million if Spurs are serious about bringing him over. The North London outfit are in desperate need of some signings this summer after the disappointment of last year’s transfer window, and with Christian Eriksen being linked with a move away from the club, they may need to replace him sooner rather than later.

Gomez has been a revelation for Celta ever since signing back in 2017, and given his age, it feels like he’s still got a lot left to learn and a lot more room to grow in this game.
