Totti believes Roma can have ‘super season’

(GSM) – Roma captain Francesco Totti believes they can achieve great things this season, especially after the arrival of Brazil striker Adriano.

Totti’s confidence has grown after Roma’s performances against PSG and Bordeaux in France at the weekend.

“This is a Roma that can do great things,” he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

“There is the promise for a super season. Adriano only needs tranquility. He knows how to win games by himself.

“We are at a good point. We have shown it on the pitch.

“Above all, we have shown that we are growing from every point of view, starting with our athletic conditioning and this is the most important response that a team can give during the pre-season.

“It’s a Roma that convinces me ever more. You have to also consider that we are still missing many important players.

“With all due respect to those who are already here, people like De Rossi, Pizarro, Juan, Adriano, Simplicio, Doni, Baptista as well as the possible arrival of the two Burdisso brothers, they represent a lot.

“We want to confirm Roma’s role as a protagonist. We aren’t missing anything to be so,” he concluded.
