(GSM) – Roma talisman Francesco Totti is very happy with the arrival of Brazilian striker Adriano.
The former Internazionale striker is signing for Roma from Flamengo.
Totti wrote in his column for Corriere dello Sport: “Next season we’ll have to play on three fronts. Above all the Champions League will be a tough competition considering the high quality of the teams that participate in it.
“After a year’s absence, I am happy to return to playing on the great European stages. On the subject of reinforcements, Adriano’s signing seems like a good start.
“I am waiting for his arrival to become official, but meanwhile I can assure him that he will get a warm reception. We will make him feel at home and help him integrate with the group.
“I am sure that he’ll manage to show Roma all his undoubted qualities. Now that it’s official I can welcome Simplicio. The ex-Palermo midfielder is a great reinforcement. He has been a good opponent for many years.
“Fabio knows Italian football and he can cover more roles. He will give us a hand and he’ll also find an environment in which he’ll integrate easily, seeing that there is a colony of Brazilian players in Rome.”
