Totti to become Roma’s technical director

According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Francesco Totti is in the running to become Roma’s new club technical director. Totti is widely considered to be one of the greatest Italian strikers of all time, and beyond that, he is quite easily one of – if not the – greatest player in Roma’s club history. For a long time fans have been intrigued to see just how far up the ladder Francesco could climb both off the pitch as well as on it, and now, it seems like we’re one step closer to getting that answer. If he was able to secure the role of technical director, the belief is that Totti would also invest his time in trying to persuade Daniele De Rossi to become the new club first team coach. The two men played together at the club with De Rossi edging towards the end of his career as an active player.
