L’Equipe has learned that Toulouse have all but agreed to sign Cameroon defender Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik from Rennes.
The highly rated footballer has been dropped from his side when he refused to sign a new deal at Stade de la Route de Lorient and hasn’t been even considered for any of the matches this season.
And while he was in talks with Evian over the past few days, L’Equipe understands that it was Toulouse that won the chase for his signature.
Kana-Biyik has agreed a two and a half year deal with le Tefece, and the agreement should be made official during the day.
The Cameroon international joined Rennes from Le Havre in 2010 and went on to make 113 Ligue 1 appearances for les Bretons, scoring 3 goals in the process.
Rennes face Evian on the road later today, hoping to end a three-match losing run, with away win paying 15/8.
