AS Roma are keeping close tabs on Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder, L’Equipe has suggested.
The Giallorossi are hoping to sign a long-term replacement for club icon Francesco Totti and they have made the French striker one of their primary targets.
Roma boss Rudi Garcia is well aware of the player’s qualities having coached Lille until last summer and he is hoping to bring him to Stadio Olimpico in the summer transfer window.
Toulouse are not too keen on selling one of their most prized assets, but with his contract due to expire in June 2015, they may not have a choice.
Wissam Ben Yedder came through the youth ranks at Stade Municipal and has been in scintillating form over the last two seasons.
After bagging 15 league goals last season, the 23-year-old has already netted 11 times in 28 league fixtures this term, and he is 2/1 to score against Rennes at the weekend.
