The Mirror understands that Yaya Toure is closing in on a sensational return to Olympiakos.
The veteran midfielder is a free agent after being released by Manchester City in the summer, following eight years at the Etihad Stadium.
His agent had this week fuelled speculation that he was about to sign for a club in London though the thirty-five-year-old is close to agreeing a deal which would see him return to the side with which he won the double in 2006.
He spent just one season with the Greek giants before moving to Monaco, and then Barcelona where he won two La Liga titles, the Copa Del Rey and the Champions League.
During his time with the Citizens, he played three hundred and sixteen times, scoring seventy-nine times and winning three league titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup.
Internationally, he was capped one hundred and one times for the Ivory Coast, scoring nineteen goals.
