Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has insisted he is happy to see striker Carlos Tevez back at Eastlands.
Argentine international Tevez returned to England this week after spending three months in his homeland, following a highly publicised falling out with manager Roberto Mancini.
But the Ivorian midfielder Toure is delighted that City will be able to call on the undoubted talents of the former Manchester United striker.
Toure told SkySports: “Carlos is a fantastic player and I hope he will continue with us, because we need him.”
“He is an amazing player.”
Mancini has insisted that Tevez must apologise for his behaviour before he is able to play under him, but Toure is confident that the former City captain has returned to make peace with the club.
“For me, it is not a problem,” Toure said.
“He knows what he has to say to the boss and to the rest of the players.”
“I think all the players will be happy if Carlos comes back.”
