Greek club Olympiakos have officially confirmed the departure of Yaya Toure from the club. The legendary midfielder made his return back to the same club he played for between 2005 and 2006, however, he only made four appearances – and now, he’s on the search for something new once again.
While it is a bit of an odd departure considering he’s been there for such a short amount of time, it seems as if he will be departing on good teams. Nonetheless, the rumour mill will now start up once again, with some believing that the 35 year old could be leaning more towards retirement.
Toure first reached that ‘next level’ during his three years with Barcelona at the Nou Camp, before making the move over to English football with Manchester City. It was there that the cemented his legacy as one of the Premier League’s all-time great midfielders in the eyes of many.
