Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend, who is somehow only 26-years old despite having been around for eons, is being linked with a move to Leicester City, according to the Mirror.
The Foxes were unsuccessful in their attempts to sign the winger in the summer as Townsend had been instrumental in Palace’s Premier League survival last season. However the move looks much more likely to materialise come January as the Eagles find themselves in dire need of a striker to end their goal-scoring woes. The London club have failed to score a single goal in any of their opening seven Premier League games this season and have conceded 17 times.
With striker Christian Benteke also sidelined with a knee injury the situation at Crystal Palace calls for some serious spending in January. The sale of Townsend could help fund the purchase of a new striker, and the England winger would make a decent addition to a Leicester side that has also been struggling in the Premier League so far this season.
