Trabzonspor refuse to give up on the Turkish Super Lig title, having earned a convincing 1-4 win at Hacettepe SK on Sunday. The Istanbul clash between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce ended without goals.

An own goal from Hacettepe’s Orhan Sam helped Trabzonspor to a 0-1 lead on 27 minutes and Hrvoje Cale doubled the advantage shortly after the break. Remzi Kacar made it 0-3 in the 52nd minute.

Serkan Atak got one back for the home side on 65 minutes but Umut Bulut had the final say, 1-4 in the 87th minute. Hacettepe played most of the second half with ten men as Selcuk Sahin was sent off on 48 minutes.

The match between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce will not be remembered for its 0-0 result, but the fight at the end of the match will keep Turkish media occupied in the next days.

Fener’s Diego Lugano headbutted Emre Asik (Galatasaray) from behind, with a big brawl as result. Eventually, Arda Turan and Emre Asik were sent off for the hosts and Semih Sentürk and Diego Lugano followed for the away side.
