Competition: League Two
Market: Tranmere win
Odds: 2/1 @ Bet 365
Still enjoying their brightest run of the season, promotion contenders Tranmere will travel to Boundary Park on Tuesday night.
Starting with the hosts, while Oldham may have managed to have pick up a much-needed 2-0 win over Grimsby last week, the Latics are still without a permanent replacement for the recently departed Paul Scholes. Now sat 10 points adrift of the top seven and firmly in the bottom half of the League Two table, they have managed to record just one victory since the 12th of December. Also managing to win just one of their last four matches at Boundary Park, Tuesday could prove to be another tough test for caretaker boss Pete Wild.
As for the visitors, coming off the back of another impressive display in their 3-0 win at home to Carlisle last week, the mood in Tranmere’s camp couldn’t be any higher. With the chance to move within touching distance of the automatic positions, Micky Mellon’s side are enjoying a remarkable seven-match winning run and their form on the road has played a huge part in their push for League One football. Tranmere have won their last three matches away from Prenton Park and have conceded just one goal in nearly 400 minutes of action on the road.
