Speaking to Media Tiempo, the father of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Raul Jimenez, bearing the same name, said that everything written in the media about his son’s potential departure from the club is nothing more than speculation at this point.
The 29-year-old striker has had a fantastic season so far. His 32 goal involvements (22 goals, 10 assists) in 44 appearances in all competitions, as well as his ability to make players around him shine, has no doubt attracted the attention of many. Clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus have all been credited with interest in his services at various points of the campaign, but it seems none of them have made any concrete moves as of yet.
Jimenez Snr insists his son is happy at Wolves, where he would play his second consecutive season in Europe if he stays past this summer, though he admits that the reports linking the striker with top clubs around Europe are flattering.
