Dynamo Kiev full-back Benoit Tremoulinas has hinted that he is prepared to remain at Saint Etienne beyond the current season.
The Frenchman was signed on an emergency loan deal in January as a replacement for Faouzi Ghoulam and he has largely impressed since returning to French Ligue 1.
And with Saint Etienne having the option to make the transfer permanent for €4 million, it appears the 28-year-old could be staying at Stade Geoffroy Guichard for the foreseeable future.
Despite having another three years left on his deal at Dynamo Kiev, Tremoulinas is prepared to remain with Saint Etienne.
“I have three years left on my contract at Dynamo Kiev. There may be discussions between ASSE (Saint Etienne) and Dynamo about me,” the defender told club’s official website.
“I am happy to play again and so find my best. I take a lot of pleasure. The loan has been very positive, I feel very good. I will wait to see how things evolve in June.”
Tremoulinas left Bordeaux for Dynamo Kiev last summer as one of Ligue 1’s top full-backs, but he then failed to adapt to life in Ukraine.
Having managed to kick start his career at Saint Etienne, chances are he will not be returning to Kiev any time soon.
