Bordeaux defender Benoit Tremoulinas said Tuesday he would welcome a move to German giants Bayern Munich as the defending Bundesliga champions look to fix their problems at left-back.
The 24-year-old attack-minded defender has a contract at former French champions Bordeaux until 2013, but he is one of the names linked to help fix Bayern’s problematic left-back position.
Bayern are also interested in Italy defender Domenico Criscito, 23, who Bayern’s director of sport Christian Nerlinger watched last weekend play for Genoa, but Tremoulinas says he is keen to join Bayern.
“Of course I would be interested (in Bayern),” the Frenchman told French newspaper La Parisien.
“Bayern are the biggest club in Germany and a big name in Europe, who regularly play in the Champions League.”
