Trevoh Chalobah could end up leaving Chelsea in the upcoming January transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The talented defender rose through the academy ranks at Chelsea and spent time on loan at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town and FC Lorient in France, before rising to the first-team ranks at his parent club just over a year ago. He was rather prominent in the team last season under Thomas Tuchel, making a total of 30 appearances in all competitions during which he scored four goals. However, this term the situation has been different and he’s only played once so far, in the 2-1 win over Leicester City at the end of August.
At the age of 23, Chalobah obviously needs regular game-time to develop, and as he doesn’t seem to be getting it at Stamford Bridge, he could be open to trying his luck elsewhere.
RB Leipzig and the two Milan giants were reportedly interested in his services during the summer, but Chelsea refused to part ways with him.
